Starfighter pod layouts

The 18 screen layouts I measured for milestone 3, built from the same numbers the game uses. Pick a layout, then drag to look around. You start in the pilot's seat; the eye sits where your eye would.

Drag to look around. Scroll or pinch to zoom.

VR: open this page in the Quest's browser and press Enter VR. Sit down first: you start at the pilot's eye, at real size. Pull the right trigger (or pinch with your right hand) for the next layout and the left for the one before. Squeeze either grip to put the ceiling TVs on or take them off.

The lines on every screen are the same grid painted from your eye: every 15 degrees, with the horizon and straight ahead brighter. Where the lines run straight from one screen to the next, the picture lines up across the seam. The LG monitors stand curved here, the way they would in the pod. The game measured them flat across the curve at the same resolution, so the frame rates hold; bending the picture comes later.

All 18 layouts: frame rates

Measured on the 4070 Super (build v0.4 8edd133, flying the ring course). The 5090 columns are estimates: the 4070 Super's graphics time divided by 2.2 to 2.4. The two-PC bar assumes each PC draws half the pixels. The line on each bar is 120 fps. Two PCs drive eight screens between them, four each.
